Removing and Installing Ink Cartridges

Make sure you have your replacement cartridges handy before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones.

Caution:
Leave your old cartridges in the printer until you are ready to replace them to prevent the print head nozzles from drying out. Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.

  1. Turn on your product.
    • If an ink cartridge is expended, you see a message on the LCD screen. Note which cartridges need to be replaced and press the OK button, then choose Replace now.
    • If you are replacing a cartridge before you see a message on the LCD screen, press the   home button if necessary, and select Setup. Select Maintenance, then select Ink Cartridge Replacement and press the OK button.
  2. Lift up the scanner unit.

    Caution:
Do not move the print head by hand; otherwise, you may damage your product. Do not touch the flat white cable inside the printer.

  3. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift the cartridge straight up to remove it.

Note: Dispose of used cartridges carefully. Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it.

Warning: If ink gets on your skin, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with water. If ink gets into your mouth, spit it out and see a doctor right away. Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children.

  4. Before opening the new cartridge package, shake it gently four or five times.

    Caution:
Do not shake the cartridges after opening the packages, or ink may leak.

  5. Remove the cartridge from the package.

    Caution:
Do not touch the green chip on the cartridge. Install the new cartridge immediately after removing the old one; if you do not, the print head may dry out and be unable to print.

  6. Remove the yellow tape from the side of the cartridge.

    Caution:
Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink will leak.

  7. Insert the new cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place.

  8. Lower the scanner unit and press the   start button.

The print head moves to its home position and the printer starts charging the ink. This takes about 90 seconds. When you see a confirmation message on the screen, ink charging is finished.

    Caution:
Never turn off the product while the power light is flashing or you will waste ink.

If you see an error screen telling you an ink cartridge is installed incorrectly, lift up the scanner unit and press the ink cartridge down until it clicks into place. When you're finished, press the OK button.

If you remove a low or expended ink cartridge, you cannot re-install and use the cartridge.

Caution:
If you remove an ink cartridge for later use, protect the ink supply area from dirt and dust and store it in the same environment as the printer. The valve in the ink supply port is designed to contain any excess ink, but do not touch the ink supply port or surrounding area. Always store ink cartridges with the label facing up; do not store cartridges upside-down.

flashing, on
To replace an ink cartridge using the  button, follow the steps below.
Note:

The illustrations show replacement of the black ink cartridge, but the instructions are the same for all the cartridges.

Make sure the  light is on, but not flashing.
Open the printer cover. The ink cartridge holder moves to the ink cartridge replacement position and the  light begins to flash.
Note:
If the print head does not move to the ink cartridge replacement position, press the  button.

Do not move the print head by hand, as this may damage the printer.

Do not hold the  button for more than three seconds, or the printer may start cleaning the print head.

For best results, shake the new ink cartridge four or five times before opening the package.

Remove the new ink cartridge from the package.

Caution:

Be careful not to break the hooks on the side of the ink cartridge when you remove it from the package.

Do not touch the green IC chip on the side of the cartridge. This can damage the ink cartridge.

Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the ink cartridge.

Caution:

You must remove the yellow tape from the cartridge before installing it; otherwise, print quality may decline or you may not be able to print.

If you have installed an ink cartridge without removing the yellow tape, take the cartridge out of the printer, remove the yellow tape, and then reinstall it.

Do not remove the transparent seal from the bottom of the cartridge; otherwise, the cartridge may become unusable.

Do not remove or tear the label on the cartridge; otherwise, ink will leak.

Open the cartridge cover.

Squeeze the tab at the back of the ink cartridge that you want to replace. Lift the cartridge straight up and out of the printer. Dispose of it properly.

Note:

If it is difficult to remove the cartridge, lift the cartridge with more force until it comes out.

Place the ink cartridge into the cartridge holder with the bottom down. Then push down the ink cartridge until it clicks into place.

When you are finished replacing cartridges, close the cartridge cover and the printer cover.

The printer moves the print head and begins charging the ink delivery system. This process takes about three minutes to complete. When ink charging is finished, the print head returns to its home position. The  light stop flashing and remains on.
Caution:
The  light continues to flash while the printer is charging ink. Never turn off the printer while this light is flashing. Doing so can result in incomplete charging of ink.
Note:
If the  lights are flashing or are on after the print head moves to its home position, the ink cartridge may not be installed properly. Open the printer cover and the cartridge cover again, press the ink cartridge down until it clicks into place, and then close the cartridge cover firmly.

Using your computer

You can monitor the ink cartridge status from your computer and view on-screen instructions for replacing a low or expended ink cartridge.

When you need to replace an ink cartridge, click How to in the status monitor window. Follow the on-screen instructions to replace the cartridge.

Note for Windows users:

If EPSON Status Monitor 3 does not appear, access the printer driver and click the Maintenance tab and then the Extended Settings button. In the Extended Settings window, check the Enable EPSON Status Monitor 3 check box.

Faster everything is, the faster she will be far from shame, with these words she began to suck, at first somehow uncertainly, then I urged her and she sucked with excitement as if it were the last member in the world. I kissed her on the head, she realized that everything is better for the good.

I asked her to get up, I kissed her greedily, to which she replied, I turned her and touched her pussy, she was all flowing.
