  • I dread buying cell phones and cars. The contracts take an eternity. You're tempted to sign without reading. The endless chatter for upgrades nickel and diming up the payments every second
My experience was none of that. Everything online is how I met my awesome salesman Noah. Easy going, laid back, no pressure, confident. Within ten minutes I'm buying a car. Next the contact beauty Michelle. She definitely knows her paperwork and despite being an inch thick, I didn't feel any weight.
Finally Chris from Allstate. I now have a wonderful sense of protection wherever I go and definitely in Good Hands. Even a used car felt like new..
Thank you to the Kearney Mesa Ford team! Trust you can count on them!

  • Wow....if your looking for a servicing dealer to provide absolutely zero communication and let you down in every way....Kearney Mesa Ford is where you need to go.  I've never seen a dealership that ignores customers and can continually disappoint. I even expressed interest in purchasing a new vehicle but it went completely unresponsive.

Additionally I was working with Ford Corporation directly on a servicing matter and it required communication with the Kearny Mesa Ford. They wouldn't even respond back to Ford Corp.

  • I purchased a Ford Fiesta at this dealership. I absolutely love the car but the people I worked with to purchase the vehicle were unethical and liars.

I was working with a saleswoman (forgot her name) but her manager was a guy by the name of Roman. I entered the dealership with approved financing from my credit union. The amount my credit union approved me for was not enough so I was going to pay the difference in cash. I DID NOT NEED THEIR FINANCING but the saleswoman I worked with and Roman said that I would still need to submit a credit application to prove my identity. I responded that a credit application does not prove anyone's identity. My driver's license verifies that. I was even willing to show my passport to "prove my identity" but they wouldn't budge. I don't think I can penalize the saleswoman I was working with because she's only doing what she's told and doesn't question anything but in the end Roman said that he won't run a hard inquiry and will just run a soft inquiry. When I got home I received an email from a credit bureau and -  surprise, surprise - they did a hard pull on my credit report! I submitted a complaint with the BBB about this business practice of theirs. Nothing will probably happen but if enough complaints are submitted by consumers dealerships will be forced to change this suspicious business practice.

At the tail end of the negotiations, they showed me an itemized list of what they were charging me and the grand total. One itemized charge showed that they were charging me $400 to add a car alarm which they said "they do for everyone." I told them that I do not need a car alarm. Especially one that costs so high. I can go elsewhere to purchase a decent car alarm for $45 and install it myself. The $400 charge is a HUGE upsell. Unsuspecting car buyers probably just accept it but people need to know that the car alarm is not mandatory.

I came into the dealership as an informed buyer which they did not like. I knew the vehicle I wanted to purchase and did research prior to coming in. Did they work with me to get the car price down to where I wanted to buy it? Yes, they did but getting there was a huge pain and hassle. It was very obvious at the very end that none of them liked me. They don't have my best interests at heart. Only their pockets. So I was okay with them not liking me at the end. I got what I wanted.

Be informed, friends! Don't let dealerships add unnecessary add-ons that they say are mandatory and don't accept when they say that running a credit check verifies your identity! It's not true!

Hi Joey, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and we regret to find out that this was not the case. We'd like the opportunity to discuss this with you. Please reach out to us at (858) 560-5544 at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

  • Anthony Lacey is the reason we come to this dealership. His professionalism is stellar and all car dealerships should strive to be like him.  We can always count on him to be  up front and realistic about what our taste and price range can accommodate.

Mr. Lacey is available to check in with if you have questions about your vehicle after you make your purchase it. He is always aware about which vehicles are in stock and knows the information about the models.

Overall, the dealership is in a great location and has a great new and used car selection. All of our friends and family go to see Me. Lacey for their car purchases and he has made all of them (and us) very happy customers.

Thank you and keep up the excellent customer service!

  • We stopped by the dealership ready to buy a vehicle - Ford Maverick.  the sales guy was absolutely rude, showed complete disrespect, and ignored us after several minutes and never came back.   For example:
      -  asked about what is good about Ford Maverick, he told us to read the sticker on the window
      -  asked about how is Ford Maverick different from other vehicle, he pointed to my nephew and told me to ask my nephew and said - it seems like he has done the research.
     -  after he opened the door so we can look inside the car, he then left and never came back.

i am just completely appalled with the salesman.  What is even worse, I decided to file a complaint and no response back from the dealership.

i strongly recommend - do NOT bring your business here.

  • I purchased a new Ford F-150, and bought it in for the first 5000 mile service.  I asked if they would do an oil change and tire rotation, and should said yes, then rattled off a few other things I didn't understand. I asked the price, and it was approximately $195. More than I had expected, but had never had a truck serviced, so didn't argue. I picked up the truck, paid, and when I got home looked at the invoice. I had paid approximately $70 for a gas additive to be dumped into the tank, and another $70 for an "oil cleaning ".   I called to question these things at 5000 miles, and was told I had approved them and paid for them, so should not complain.
My mistake for trusting Ford Service, and if you ever take your vehicle there realize they will upsell and you need to distrust their recommendations.
I have had cars serviced at Toyota and Subaru dealerships, and never been treated so badly. Don't trust them!!!

  • I visited Kearny Mesa Ford for a service. My service rep was very responsive and nice. I needed to get a part replaced and Kearny Mesa Ford quoted me $600 for the labor and part. I called Mossy Ford and they quoted me $350 for the same part and labor. National City Ford quoted me $300 for the part + labor. I called my old Ford Dealership (which is out of state) and they said the labor and part should be less than $200 for the part + labor.
Kearny Mesa Ford is extremely overpriced. I would not recommend getting any service here.

  • This review is only for the service station.

I only came here because I had a recall on my car.

Took my car in and they didn't have the part. Btw it took them an entire day to tell me they didn't have the part and that's after I had to call them and ask them if my car was ready because it was several hours after they had told me it would be ready.  They had to order the part and it took maybe two months before the part arrived. So a couple months later I make an appointment and when I show up to my appointment apparently the guy left the place and I had a new person. Maybe that was a good thing because the guy who originally served as my advisor did a crap job since he was the one who failed to tell me the first time they didn't have my part in stock and failed to tell me it would take two months for the part to come in AND failed to tell me he wouldn't be working there the next day to assist me.

So I bring my car in and the service guy was nice and car was ready.... well later in the day I see my driver car door no longer locked. Called them up and they told me it was their fault and I had to bring it in again for it to get fixed.  UGH!

This is why I prefer the smaller mechanics than to these big dealerships. Wasn't happy with the GM dealership in mission valley for the exact same reason here!

I have a company car. One time I brought it here, the repairs were way more expensive than I thought they should be but...the company pays for it, so I gave it no mind. Well, the other day, my boss specific said, that the DMV requires our vehicles to get checked. It's a basic checklist of things. We were told to not spend more than $50 to get this done, as many mechanics do it for $29. I told Alisha, the service rep helping me. She looked at the checklist of things and said, "Oh, all of these things we do for free with the oil change." (I had also told her I wanted an oil change). The grand total was $262, which was utterly ridiculous. I asked them what happened to it being free, and was told "We didn't realize some of the stuff isn't done with the oil change." Okay, well, if one or two of the things weren't, how does that add up to that? I wouldn't spend $92 for an oil change (which is what they charged), when quicky oil change places do them for $45! I specifically wanted all the stuff done, and under the price I was quoted. They're justification is that they called the fleet vehicle people to get confirmation. Yet they didn't know, our boss was given orders, to not spend more than $50 for the checklist of things. Now, when I go back to work (as I did this on my day off), I have to deal with all this, my boss, and our fleet -- which is most definitely going to be asking for a refund, on the wrong price we were quoting. There's something just so disgusting about a dealership trying to take advantage of a company, knowing if it's a "company car" the customer won't complain, as they're not paying out of their pocket. It makes you not trust them, and I certainly don't at this point.
