Why Use Bingo Daubers?
There are several benefits to using bingo daubers. For one, they are way less messy than paint. There’s no pouring into cups, no brushes needed, and the drying time is almost instant. Plus, it seems they last forever.
Using bingo daubers also helps students develop hand-eye coordination as they direct the stamper to the spot on their paper. They also help students strengthen fine motor skills as they hold the bingo dauber and push down to apply the dot to the printable.
If all of those weren’t reasons enough, they make learning more fun. Use these free bingo dauber printables to help your little learners recognize letters of the alphabet – and see for yourself how much fun they are!
Bingo Dauber Tips and Tricks
My favorite brand of bingo daubers is Do a Dot markers. I’ve tried a lot of different brands, but find these to be the best quality and most kid-friendly. They are perfect for little hands and they don’t bleed through the paper.
There are a few basic “rules” that I teach my students before using bingo daubers.
- Only dab on the paper
- Give a firm gentle dab (aka don’t bang them on the table)
- Don’t squeeze the bingo dauber (probably the most important rule)
- Keep the lid on when not in use
It’s important that children dab and come straight back up. The longer they push down, the more saturated the paper will become. It’s also important that they push down, just hard enough – not too soft that the dot marker doesn’t leave a marker and not too hard that ink pours out.
Model exactly how to push the dauber down on the paper, just like you would if you were showing them crayons, scissors, or a glue stick for the first time. For more tips, check out the post Introducing Bingo Dabbers in the Classroom.
Before giving your students these bingo dauber printables, give them a blank piece of paper. Let them practice dabbing on the paper. This is especially beneficial for students who have never used bingo daubers. It helps fulfill their curiosity and also helps them learn just how much pressure to give the daubers.
About the Free Bingo Dauber Printables
This no-prep activity is a great way to get some extra letter recognition into your lessons. It’s so quick and easy to set up, yet your students will be asking for this activity over and over again!
This set of free Bingo Dauber Printables includes 26 black and white alphabet pages – one for each letter of the alphabet. There’s no color ink required. Each page focuses on one individual letter of the alphabet.
Students will look at each gumball to determine if it shows the focus letter. If it does, students use the bingo dauber to dab the space.
You can have students use two different color bingo daubers – one color for the uppercase letters and a different color for the lowercase letters.
These Printables Aren’t Just for Bingo Daubers
You can easily switch up this activity by adding different components. Here’s two examples:
If you’re using bingo daubers in the classroom, you’ll want to be sure to supervise your students. If you’re wanting to use these free alphabet printables in centers, you can use transparent plastic counters like the ones in the picture above.
Just print the pages on colored cardstock, laminate or slide in a page protector – instant center activity!
Another way to use these printables and still incorporate fine motor practice, is through the use of jumbo tweezers and mini erasers. Students use the tweezers to pick up the mini erasers and cover the letters.
Just print on colored cardstock, slide in page protectors and you’re ready to go.
Using bingo daubers makes learning so much more fun. Your students will be engaged and excited about learning. As teachers, we can definitely call that a win!

Getting ready for a community helper theme?! These playful alphabet dabber sheets are a must-try.
Just grab your box of daubers, print off the pages and you’re ready to work on the ABCs. They’re a perfect complement to our super popular Ultimate Preschool Activity Pack!

Getting Ready
To prep, I simply grabbed our box of bingo daubers (available on Amazon here) and printed off the four community helper-themed dabbing sheets:
- D is for doctor
- F is for fireman
- M is for mailman
- P is for policeman
Community Helper Alphabet Dabbing
Completing the dabbing sheets was just as straightforward as the prep. Middle Brother (age 5) grabbed the first page and named the letter at the top: F.
I asked him what sound F made and then we worked together to brainstorm words that started with it. It’s probably no surprise that “fireman” was the first thing on our list.
After a minute or two, I had him trace the big and little F in the title of his paper with his finger – being sure to start at the top of the letter and follow the line down.
Then, he grabbed a bingo dauber and started marking all of the upper and lowercase letters on the sheet.
When he was finished, we grabbed the next page in his stack: P is for Policeman! We kept going until all of the community helper sheets were completed.

She dotted those dots for TWO HOURS! Needless to say, we have printed probably 500 of these sheets the past year!

Bingo Dauber Dot Printable Worksheets

What is a bingo dabber?
Well, we can see the bingo dauber dot worksheets that consist of a certain shape and filled with several circles inside the shapes. However, to do this, we are required to understand what a bingo dabber is.
Yes, you can read that, dabber, and dauber. This makes us confused for some reason. Actually, both daubers, dabbers, and even dobbers are the same! To know what a bingo dabber is, we can define it as a marker that specifically can be used for dotting the bingo dauber dot worksheets. The tip of bingo daubers are made from felt.
Actually, the ink inside the bingo dauber is similar to the other markers which is translucent. However, things that make the bingo dabbers different is the shape and size. The size of the bingo dabber is way more bigger than the common marker.
The body of the bingo dabber looks similar to the bottle. Then, the tip of the bingo dabber is also larger than the usual marker. That's why, the bingo dauber dot worksheets consist of circles inside the shape of the worksheet. It's because the marker that can fill those with a single dot is just a bingo dabber.
What is bingo dauber ink made of?
Well, before we do bingo dauber dot worksheets with our kids, it is recommended to understand the composition of the ink. It is because we need to know whether the ink of bingo dauber ink can be harmful for our kids or not.
Actually, the composition of the bingo dauber ink is from fine powder in a form of solid materials. This ink can be considered as highly water soluble. Also, this is not poisonous. The powder is diluted into the water so that it makes the ink easily flow into the bingo dauber tip. Keep in mind that even though the ink is safe, we can't put the tip intendedly to the mouth since it is not made to be eaten either.

If it is our favourite clothes, definitely we will feel frustrated in the beginning. Since it is because we love it, we don't want to ruin it, right? Well, don't worry. Since the ink of bingo dauber is water soluble, it makes the ink on our clothes can be removed when we wash it. Also, since the ink of bingo dabbers is translucent, that is why the ink is also washable when it comes to accidentally putting the stroke on our clothes.
