MapleStory/Link Skills

Link Skills is one of the best ways to improve a character's ability. Basically, newer jobs have Link Skills to boost their abilities. When these newer characters hits a higher level, their skill can be given to another character of the same world same account without losing its own one.

Mechanics[edit]

  • A character can receive up till 12 different link skills, excluding the one originated from that same character, so you cannot get all the link skills available in the game for one character.
  • You can transfer the link skill using that original character (owner) of the link skill. Transfer is available 2 times daily, so if you transferred the link skill to a character 2 times in a single day, you have to wait till the next day in order to change the target character of the skill.
  • Only up till 2 characters can get the same link skill: The target and the owner.
  • A character cannot get the same link skill twice. Link skills that require multiple characters can be stacked if the characters are of different jobs.
  • You can transfer the link skill only at Level 70, except for Rhinne's Blessing which can be transferred after getting the first Goddess Teardrop from its Storyline Quest at level 118.
  • For MSEA and KMS, link skills are capped at the equivalent of Character Level 200 (no Skill Level 3 at level 210)

Available skills[edit]

This is a list of the possible link skills. For Zero's link skill, levels 4 and 5 come at the same time, so it jumps level from skill level 3 to 5.

Invincible Belief[edit]

From Explorer Warriors (Hero, Paladin, Dark Knight). Recovers HP when the HP falls below a certain percentage. Not affected by buff duration increases, cooldown resets, or healing value modifications.

  • Level 70~119 provides 1 point (Level 30~119 if the owner is also an explorer warrior)
  • Level 120+ provides 2 points.

Empirical Knowledge[edit]

From Explorer Magicians (Bishop, I/L Arch Mage, F/P Arch Mage). Inflicts a curse mark when attacking to increase damage dealt and ignore DEF of marked targets.

  • Level 70~119 provides 1 point (Level 30~119 if the owner is also an explorer magician)
  • Level 120+ provides 2 points.

Adventurer Curiosity[edit]

From Explorer Bowmans (Bowmaster, Crossbow Master, Pathfinder). Increases critical rate and monster collection chance.

  • Level 70~119 provides 1 point (Level 30~119 if the owner is also an explorer bowman)
  • Level 120+ provides 2 points.

Cunning Thief[edit]

From Explorer Thieves (Night Lord, Shadower, Dual Blade). Increases damage shortly when you inflict an abnormal status. Not affected by buff duration increases, cooldown reduction and cooldown resets.

  • Level 70~119 provides 1 point (Level 30~119 if the owner is also an explorer thief)
  • Level 120+ provides 2 points.

Pirate's Blessing[edit]

This originates from Explorer Pirates (Captain, Viper, Cannoneer). Provides HP, MP, all stats and damage absorption. For owners, right click this skill to swap STR and DEX on equipments.

  • Level 70~119 provides 1 point (Level 30~119 if the owner is also an explorer pirate)
  • Level 120+ provides 2 points.

Mihile's Original Link Skill

Creates a shield to absorb a certain amount of hits. If the hit is % HP Attack, its damage is reduced. Damage increases when shield is active. Cooldown 3 minutes.

Cygnus Blessing[edit]

From all revamped knights of cygnus. Max level per knight is 2, can be stacked 5 times. All 5 different knights are required for max level since the same job type of knights would not stack. Increases ATT, Magic ATT, resistance to abnormal statuses and elemental damage.

  • Level 70-119 knight contributes 1 point (Level 10-119 if the owner is also a knight)

Preparation[edit]

From Kain. Prepares to deal increased damage by attacking, and deals increased damage for some time when preparation is completed. Not affected by buff duration increases, cooldown reduction and cooldown resets.

When it comes to MapleStory you’ll figure out that having a lot of different characters is better than just maxing out one character. The reason is, the benefit of link skills and stats. Links skills are acquired when a character hits a certain level (70,120, 210), and can grant you a ton of bonus stats.  

Best Links To Prioritize

  • Mercedes (EXP)
  • Aran (Combo Orbs)
  • Evan (Rune Duration)
  • Kanna (Damage)
  • Luminous (Ignore Enemy Defense)
  • Demon Avenger (Damage)
  • Phantom (Critical Rate)

These links should be prioritized because they will be useful to any character you make and will help you progress in the game a lot faster. The trio of Mercedes, Aran, and Evan are almost always going to be your first links. This is because of how useful they are when it comes to training and quickly leveling up your characters. Kanna, Demon Avenger, Phantom, and Luminous are all about doing more damage and they are also very easy to level up. 

Best Link Skills To Use For Training

The best 12 links for training are:

  • Evan (Rune Duration)
  • Ark (Damage Increase as you stay in combat)
  • Illium (Damage Increase as you move around)
  • Kain (Damage increase when you kill a certain amount of mobs)

  • Phantom (Critical Rate)
  • Hoyoung (IED + Increased Damage on first hit)
  • Hayato (All Stat +, Weapon and Magic Attack)
  • Kinesis (Critical Damage)
  • Demon Avenger (Damage)

When training you will want to have all of these links in place so that you can be training in the most optimal way. The goal of these links are to get the character you’re training strong enough to one shot the monsters. Depending on your equips you might not need all of these links to train and can save some slots. Getting to 100% critical rate is super important when training and mobbing but, if you have 100%, get something like Illium if your class move around a lot of the thief link if you debuff enemies.

The new addition of Kain will replace Xenon in the link skill list for training. If you have 100% critical rate you can replace Phantom instead.

Luminous is not on this list because IED is unnecessary when mobbing and only useful when bossing. If you cannot one-shot with the Hoyoung link, another good choice is the Bowman Link which gives Critical Rate and Monster Collection.

Honorable Mentions

Shade can be useful by giving you a 10% chance to survive death but, since it is a random chance it isn’t that sought after. This can be a game changing link but the odds of you triggering it are low. Great to use when practicing bosses.

Resistance gives you invincibility for a few seconds after you revive which can be useful for harder bosses and gives you time to buff. If you prefer more damage instead of this, Cadena is the better pick that synergizes well with the Explorer links. Great for Hellux.

The Mihile link is only useful if you need Stance (100% Knockback Resistance). Most of the time it is better to use damage links but if you really feel like you need Stance, then Mihile is a link for you.

You always want 100% critical rate and if you have it, you can forget about Phantom link.

Kain has a great link skill and gives you a better bonus than the Adele 4% boss damage. Which is why Adele gets replaced.

Link Skills

Link Manager UI

Link Skills are unique to each class and can be given to your other characters on the same world. Link Skills mostly come as passives but there are a few Active Link Skills too

Once a character reaches Level 70, they can share their Link Skill with another character. When you Share your Link Skill, both characters will gain the effect of the Link Skill. Sometimes Link Skills may have different effects for the character with the linked version. Link Skills grow stronger at Level 120 (Skill Level 2) and most grow stronger again at Level 210 (Skill Level 3). Some Link Skills can stack increasing the strength of the Link Skill by linking the same Link Skill multiple times from different characters of the same class group

A character can have up to 12 Link Skills (13 if considering themselves) linked to them at one time and each Link Skill can only be linked to one character at a time. Each Link Skill can be linked to a different character twice per day

For Link Skills that stack, linking them will automatically stack them together. Although, the class must be unique for the Link Skills to stack (ex. cannot be two Dark Knights, must be a Dark Knight and a Paladin or Hero)

Some advice in choosing Link Skills, choose ones that provide stats you need. For example, I am trying to reach 100% Crit Chance, I try to get as many %Crit Chance Link Skills to help me reach that goal. There are also other essential stats that are useful for all classes such as %Damage, %Boss Damage or %Ignore DEF. Other important Link Skills include ones that increase the amount of EXP gained

To manage your Link Skills, open up your Skills Tab UI, and click into your Beginner skills. There you will find a skill called Link Manager

With a number of these Link Skill benefits being vital to both bossing and training effectively developing a large pool of Link Skill options is key to tackling some of the mid game bosses of MapleStory such as Chaos Root Abyss and often a hot topic on reddit and other MapleStory communities. In this best in slot Link Skills guide you’ll learn the basics of the system, the Link Skills priority order, best Link Skills for each class and the full Link Skills list. This article is intended for both Reboot and Non-Reboot players with differences noted where relevant.

MapleStory Link Skills Overview

In order to encourage and reward Maplestory players to try new classes the Link Skill system provides passive benefits to your characters including a small number of active skills. The key mechanics of this system are:

  • Players can select a maximum of 12 Link Skills to have active at a time for their character and will always have the skill of their current character active.
  • Link Skills will only work on two characters at the same time (the one it is linked to and the originating character).
  • They can be transferred twice a day between characters, for this reason it is recommended to keep them tied to your bossing and/or current character you are training for levels.
  • The majority of Link Skills are available from level 70 and gain power at level 120 and level 210. These are referred to as level 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
  • MapleSEA and KMS do not currently have level 3, they are exclusive to GMS.
  • Link Skills do not work across game servers.

MapleStory Best Link Skills Priority

The following Link Skills priority list are the ones that players will want to prioritise as part of building out their MapleStory account as these have broad application for training other characters or used across both bossing and training. Given the effort required to reach level 210 I generally recommend players target level 120 Link Skills first to obtain the bulk of the benefit and only push for level 3 for the very late game bossing challenges.

  • Mercedes: The first of three key Link Skills that impacts on your experience gained with a percentage boost between 10 to 20% depending on the level you obtain. Reaching at least level 120 on a Mercedes early on in your account progression can save some significant time training other characters. Mercedes also remains relevant even on your high level characters due the % based nature of this Link Skill.
  • Aran: A strong character that isn’t too difficult to train without gear or Link Skills the Aran is another good priority option as he dramatically boosts the amount of experience gained from combo orbs. At the highest levels (900%) you can easily gain half a level from a long combo streak and it does encourage players to stay for long periods of time on a single map to maximise the advantage. Unlike Mercedes this has a diminished benefit as you advance beyond level 100 and is primarily about early level gains.
  • Evan: The final character in the experience gained trinity the Evan boosts rune duration by up to 70% giving you more time to be overpowered and benefit from the experience gain boost that runes provide. Like the Mercedes this is one that is always relevant to character training speed. I would generally do an Aran first though as Evan can be a difficult MapleStory class to level.

With your trinity of experience boosting characters players should then look to build in some core damage stats to their Link Skill options. This has the effect of being useful on both bossing and training for your main while making future Link Skill characters easier to level.

  • Phantom: With critical rate playing a key role in your damage output the ability to gain a free 10% to 20% can boost your damage on levelling up mules and on your main account. This also assists in reaching the all important 100% critical rate chance on most characters to save some investment in Hyper Stat points or other sources of critical while building out your gear progression but can be removed as your gear advances.
  • Beast Tamer: Offering one of the most powerful Link Skills with its combination of critical rate, boss damage, HP and MP the Beast Tamer is a must addition to your line up. Given this character is not always available for creation players should always jump at the opportunity to make one (even if it sits idle for some time).
  • Demon Avenger: An easy class to play given that HP is actually their main stat the Demon Avenger is a good early Link Skill option to obtain. The Demon Avenger offers a percentage boost to damage between 5% and 15%.
  • Kanna: Similar to the Demon Avenger the Kanna brings up to 10% damage boost although only goes up to level 2 (level 120 required). Given the Kanna has often been a meta favourite of Reboot players for her ability to farm Mesos with high effectiveness it is likely that you’ll be wanting a strong Kanna in your account regardless.

MapleStory Best Link Skills For Bossing

The best bossing setup for Link Skills will use a mixture of the Link Skills noted below with slight differences depending on your class and other equipment. In general when bossing you want to maximise the following stats:

  • Critical Rate
  • Critical Damage
  • Damage
  • Boss Damage
  • Ignore Enemy Defence (IED)

This can then be supplemented with additional utility or class specific Link Skill needs and results in the following boss focused options for the majority of classes.

There are some important things to keep in mind when selecting your ideal bossing setup as follows:

  • Explorer Thief & Cadena: This damage boost relies on the ability to debuff your enemies (such as Venom). For classes that do not have an easy to activate debuff or any options at all you should first obtain the Explorer Mage Link Skill as this acts as a debuff.
  • Illium: This Link Skill applies with movement so will not be ideal for all classes or boss situations and is generally a lower priority because of this.
  • Ark: Similar to above this is a battle focused option that relies on staying in combat for extended lengths of time. The strength of this is highly dependent on the boss fight and your class.
  • Adele: Adele’s Noble Fire Link Skill is based on the number of party members on a map so is stronger on mid to late game party boss runs and offers only a slight boost when solo. Similar to Illium I would consider this a low priority compared to other options.
  • Hoyoung: The damage portion of this Link Skill only triggers on enemies with full health so you are choosing this solely if you need the extra IED and this would likely be overkill given your other IED options.
  • Resistance: Having some brief seconds of immunity after reviving can help players rebuff their character and avoid any map environmental elements (e.g. Vellum falling rocks). It’s value is definitely heightened on classes with lots of buffs to cast after death (assuming no buff freezer) or players that suffer from game lag.

About Link Skills

All Jobs possess Link Skills, skills that can be shared with other characters of yours in the same world to give them a power boost. The skills' effects are always applied to the character themselves and, once you reach Lv. 70, you can choose another one of your characters within the same world to transfer the corresponding skill.

When your linked character reaches Lv. 120, the effects get upgraded and you can receive the effects of Lv. 2.

TIPS:

  • Cygnus Knights' and Resistance's Link Skills can be stacked. For example, if you level-up two Cygnus Knights characters to Lv. 120, the Link Skill becomes Lv. 4.
  • If you have different characters with the same Explorer job in the same world, their Link Skills can be stacked up to three times to the same character.
    • For example, three Explorer Warrior characters could transfer each of their Link Skills to the same character on that world, and they would stack.
  • Zero characters can upgrade their Link Skills to Lv. 5 by completing Chapter 8 of their storyline.

MapleStory Learning Link Skills

Once your character reaches Lv. 70, you can be informed of how to share your link skills with the "Teaching Link Skills" quest via the quest notifier.

TIP:

  • You can transfer Link Skills once you reach Lv. 70, even if you don't finish the quest.

Transferring Link Skills

MapleStory Link Manager Skill

Link Skill Transfers can be managed via the "Link Manager" skill on your Beginner Skill tab.

MapleStory Link Skill Menu

  1. Your current character's Link Skill, and the character that the skill has been transferred to.
  2. The stats that are applied from the transferred Link Skills.
  3. List of all of the Link Skills currently transferred to the current character (you can transfer up to 12 at a time).
  4. List of Link Skills your account has unlocked on this world, and a button to link them to this character.

TIPS:

  • You can transfer Link Skills to your other characters within the same world.
  • Each Link Skill can be transferred twice per day. If a Link Skill has been transferred to a specific character, you have to wait until 12:00 AM UTC of the next day to pass in order to transfer the Link Skill to another character.
  • All Jobs (excluding Zero) need to reach their 1st Job Advancement in order to transfer their Link Skills.
  • A character always benefits from their own Link Skills, even if has been transferred to another character.

Link Skills are transferable skills in MapleStory that unlock at level 70, 120, and 210 (for some characters). When you level up Link Skills, you can use the skills on other characters you have in the same world. They are one of the best ways to improve your character’s stats and DPS for free.

One character can receive up to 12 different Link Skills at a time. With so many different ones out there now, you might be wondering which Link Skills are the best and which ones to obtain first.

We’ve done the heavy lifting and ranked all of the MapleStory Link Skills in order, from worst to best, to help you out.

Keep in mind that the Link Skills ranked lower aren’t necessarily “bad,” it just means there are others that are simply better. Use this guide to help prioritize which ones you might want to get first.

cygnus blessing link skill 26. Cygnus Blessing (Cygnus Knights)

[Max Level 10] Attack Power and Magic ATT: + 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 / 15 / 17 / 19 / 21 / 23 / 25
Abnormal Status Resistance: + 2 / 3 / 4 / 6 / 7 / 9 / 10 / 12 / 13 / 15
All Elemental Resistance: + 1% / 3% / 4% / 6% / 7% / 9% / 10% / 12% / 13% / 15%

Cygnus Blessing used to be one of the stronger Link Skills in the game back when status resistance was calculated as a percentage chance of avoiding damage entirely. At some point, Nexon changed status resistance to reduce the duration of a status instead. This would be good if your status resistance was over 50%, but it’s very difficult to actually reach that point. As a result, Cygnus Blessing is ranked lowest on this list.

close call link skill 25. Close Call (Shade)

[Max Level 2] Fatal Attack Survival Chance: 5% / 10%

You’d think Close Call would be a good Link Skill to have, since it can literally save you from death. However, it’s too unreliable, and you never want to put yourself in a position where you have just a 5-10% chance of surviving death in the first place. You’re better off trying to dodge attacks as best as possible.

core aura link skill 24. Core Aura (Jett)

[Max Level 2] STR + X, DEX + X, INT + X, LUK + X, Weapon ATT + X, Magic ATT + X
X is random up to 35 and changes daily

Like Close Call, Core Aura is too unreliable of an Link Skill to be that great. It increases all your character’s stats by a random amount, which you can enhance with cash items like Supernova Dust and Cosmic Stone. So it’s kind of a pay-to-win Link Skill, but unless you have tons of money to blow, you’re better off spending it on other cash items first.

iron will link skill 23. Iron Will (Kaiser)

[Max Level 3] Max HP: + 10% / 15% / 20%

Iron Will simply increases your max HP. Unless you’re playing a Demon Avenger, max HP is essentially an irrelevant stat late game since every boss does percent-based damage on your character’s HP anyway. Plus, getting potions is such a breeze in Maplestory now that you really don’t need more HP.

pirate blessing link skill 22. Pirate’s Blessing (Cannon Shooter)

[Max Level 6] STR, DEX, INT, LUK: + 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70, Max HP & MP: + 350 / 525 / 700 / 875 / 1050 / 1225, Damage Absorption: + 5% / 7% / 9% / 11% / 13% / 15%. Cooldown: 5 sec

Pirate’s Blessing also increases max HP, along with MP and all stats. But even though it’s a better version of Iron Will, it’s still a mediocre Link Skill. This is likely due to the fact that Cannoneers were the first class to have Link Skills, so it’s a little outdated.

knights watch 21. Knight’s Watch (Mihile)

[Max Level 2] Knockback Resistance Chance: +100%, Duration: 90 / 110 sec. (Cooldown: 180 sec)

Mihiles got reworked such that they have their own Link Skill and one that other characters get. Knight’s Watch is excellent for classes that don’t have innate stances like Night Lords, Archers, or Mages, but on the other classes it’s basically useless. So it’s highly dependent on what classes of characters you’re playing.

rhinnes blessing 20. Rhinne Blessing (Zero)

[Max Level 5] Incoming damage reduced: 3% / 6% / 9% / 12% / 15%, defense ignored: 2% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10%

Rhinne Blessing increases your defense penetration and reduces damage taken, but this does not apply to % HP attacks. The fact it doesn’t apply to % HP attacks makes the Link Skill pretty bad, and ignoring 10% DEF is also negligible.

unfair advantage 19. Unfair Advantage (Cadena)

[Max Level 2] Attacks against weaker opponents deal + 3% / 6% damage. Attacks against monsters afflicted by Abnormal Statuses deal + 3% / 6% damage.

With Intensive Insult, you deal more damage to monsters lower level than you and monsters with any status conditions. This Link Skill isn’t that great unless you’re playing an unfunded character that has to rely on mobbing lower level monsters. It’s ineffective against bosses since they’ll usually be the same level or higher than you, and bosses don’t typically have status conditions.

combo kill blessing 18. Combo Kill Blessing (Aran)

[Max Level 3] Combo Kill Marble EXP: + 400% / 650% / 900% (permanently)

The next three Link Skills will help you train and level up much faster. They’re all worth getting if you have the time. Combo Kill Advantage makes Combo Kill Orbs grant you additional EXP, close to 10x at max level.

rune persistance 17. Rune Persistence (Evan)

[Max Level 3] Rune Duration: + 30% / 50% / 70%

Rune Persistance increases rune buff duration. You can use this to buff the duration of exp runes such that they’ll last 4-5 minutes, which is significant.

elven blessing 16. Elven Blessing (Mercedes)

[Max Level 3] Returns you to Elluel (Cooldown: 1800 sec)
Additional Effect: Permanently receive 10% / 15% / 20% additional EXP

And the best Link Skill to speed up training is Elven Blessing. It provides a permanent 10-20% EXP increase from monsters, and also allows you to teleport to Elluel every 10 minutes.

keen edge 15. Keen Edge (Hayato)

[Max Level 2] All Stats: 15 / 25, Attack Power Increase: 10 / 15, Magic Attack Power Increase: 10 / 15

Hayato’s Keen Edge is similar to Cannoneer’s Link Skill but swaps out HP and MP boosts for Weapon and Magic ATT. This is much more valuable and would typically cost a lot of mesos or cash to replicate.

phantom instinct 14. Phantom Instinct (Phantom)

[Max Level 3] Critical Rate + 10% / 15% / 20%

Phantom Instinct provides you a 10-20% increase in Critical Rate chance. Crits do significantly more damage than regular hits and very few classes can reach 100% crit rate chance on their own, making this Link Skill highly valuable.

terms and conditions 13. Terms and Conditions (Angelic Buster)

[Max Level 3] 60% / 90% / 120% skill damage for 10 sec when active. Cooldown: 90 sec. Skill effects reduced to half when used with Link Skill.

Terms and Conditions massively increases damage for 10 seconds. That might not seem like much, but a +60% damage boost is quite the steroid. Especially for classes that rely on burst damage like Luminous, Night Lord, Dual Blades. But the skill is still good for every DPS character.

bravado 12. Bravado (Hoyoung)

[Max Level 2] Enemy Defense Ignored: + 5% / 10%, Damage: + 9% / 14% against enemies with 100% HP

Hoyoung is a relatively new character class. His Link Skill provides 10% ignore DEF and 12% damage increase when attacking monsters that have full health. The skill is useless against bosses but can be good for mobbing to help you one hit KO monsters you normally couldn’t.

light wash 11. Light Wash (Luminious)

[Max Level 3] 10% / 15% / 20% of enemy DEF ignored

Ignore 10-20% DEF with the Light Wash Link Skill. The reason this is listed higher than Terms and Conditions is because it’s a permanent passive that you can use all game.

noblesse 10. Noblesse (Adele) 

[Max Level 2] +1% / +2% damage per party member (incl. yourself), up to max of 4% / 8%. +2% / + 4% boss damage

Adele is the newest class in MapleStory, and it looks like she’s going to be quite strong. Her Link Skill, Noblesse, increases damage by 2-8% based on the number of party members you have up to 4 members. It also increases boss damage by 5%. A good skill to have whenever you’re in a party or bossing.

hybrid logic 9. Hybrid Logic (Xenon)

[Max Level 2] All Stats: 5% / 10%

Hybrid Logic increases all stats by +5-10%. A pretty boring Link Skill, but still very solid on every class other than Demon Avenger.

fury unleashed 8. Fury Unleashed (Demon Slayer)

[Max Level 3] When attacking Boss Monster- Damage: + 10% / 15% / 20%, Additional Fury Absorption: 10

Being able to dish +20% more boss damage from Fury Unleashed is a big deal, given MapleStory is all about late game bossing these days.

focus spirit 7. Focus Spirit (Beast Tamer)

[Max Level 3] Boss Damage: +4% / 7% / 10%
Critical Rate: + 4% / 7% / 10%
Max HP + 3% / 4% / 5%
Max MP: + 3% / 4% / 5

Beast Tamer’s Link Skill, Focus Spirit is a hybrid of a bunch of other Link Skills. It gives you improved crit rate chance, boss damage, and HP & MP boosts. Since it’s more versatile than the others, it gets a higher spot in this list.

judgment 6. Judgment (Kinesis)

[Max Level 2] Critical Damage: + 2% / 4%

Judgement provides up to +4% crit damage. It might not seem like much, but when we’re talking about cumulative damage numbers in the tens of millions or more, that adds up quite a bit. Since crit damage is the second last calculation to take place when measuring total damage, it’s more substantial than base attack or boss damage buffs.

tide of battle 5. Tide of Battle (Illium)

[Max Level 2] Activated when moving a certain distance. Max number of stacks: 6 times, Duration: 5 sec, Damage per stack: + 1% / 2%

Flow of Battle is a stacking Link Skill that maxes out at +12% damage. It’s super easy to stack, since all you have to do is walk around, and the damage buff is consistent and significant.

solus 4. Solus (Ark)

[Max Level 3] When activated, damage increases by 1%, and damage increases an extra 1% / 2% / 3% per stack

Ark’s Ecstasy is similar to Ilium’s Flow of Battle. It’s a stacking Link Skill that caps out at +16% damage, but instead of walking around to stack it, you simply have to attack something. Since it’s more reliable and a bigger buff than Flow of Battle, it’s ranked higher.

spirit of freedom 3. Spirit of Freedom (Resistance)

[Max Level 8] You will not take damage for 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 sec after being revived.

The bronze medal for MapleStory Link Skills goes to Spirit of Freedom. It gives up to 8 seconds of invincibility after respawning from death. This is the best boss skill to have, since you always run the risk of getting instantly spawn killed when fighting bosses. That problem goes away with this skill, and gives you 8 full seconds to rebuff and reposition yourself. If you plan on bossing at all, you’ll want this Link Skill in your backpocket.

Elementalism 2. Elementalism (Kanna)

[Max Level 2] Permanent Damage Increase: 5% / 10%

The best two Link Skills provide the same stat boost, just with different degrees. Elementalism provides +10% Damage boost, while Wild Rage provides +15% Damage boost. Damage is the most important stat in MapleStory, so it’s no surprise that these two get the top spots.

wild rage 1. Wild Rage (Demon Avenger)

[Max Level 3] Damage: + 5% / 10% / 15%

As mentioned, Wild Rage provides +15% Damage which is simply the best Link Skill in MapleStory. Damage is the end-all be-all stat in MapleStory, so a flat out percentage-based damage boost is incredible. You want to prioritize Wild Rage and Elementalism for your first two Link Skills, so be sure to train a Demon Avenger and Kanna to the required levels.
