Best heroes fortnite

Best heroes fortnite DEFAULT

*Updated 2/28/ &#; Due to the complete rework of how Heroes work, this whole guide was thrown out the window. As such, it is currently a Work in Progress. This will be removed when it is finished.

It used to be that Fortnite heroes had a set list of abilities. The combination of these abilities made a small handful of heroes (and their reskins) infinitely better than using others. However, that is all in the past.

Now, you are given more flexibility and creativity when choosing your heroes because your Commander, the hero you play in missions, is supported by five other heroes in the support slot to buff their abilities.

However, there are still technically heroes that are better than ever. Your Commander hero&#;s unique perk will be upgraded when you level it to 2-stars. As such, this typically makes that ability more powerful. This is why, while you would get that bonus by placing that hero in your support slots, it is actually more beneficial to play that hero if the ability is really quite good.

fortnite soldiers

In Fortnite, if you want to solely focus on shooting zombies, then soldier is the way to go. If you want to shoot things with guns and have a bunch of Damage abilities, then this is your class.

Best Soldier Heroes:

  • First Shot Rio &#; After reloading an assault weapon, the first few shots crit. If you stack crit damage on your assault weapons, this is amaaaazing.
Steel Bass Carlos &#; Warcry is a big buff to damage, and with Steel Wool Carlos, killing enemies extends how long Warcry lasts, thus continues your damage boost.
  • Skull Trooper Jonesy &#; His perk increases damage after reloading, so just empty that clip and get a damage buff.

fortnite ninja

While soldier excels in going pew pew, the Ninja excels in murdering zombies with swords. While many ninjas use guns as well, most ninja perks are oriented towards making them more powerful melee fighters. It is also worth noting that they are also the fastest hero class.

Best Ninja Heroes:

  • Dragon Scorch &#; His perk increases the length of Dragon Slash initially, and when used as a Commander, it also increases the width and damage.
  • Cloaked Shadow &#; His perk is that he does damage to enemies close to him while in Shadow Stance. This is a good way to deal additional damage while caught in a crowd.
  • Dire &#; If you just want to move fast, Dire is your guy. Furthermore, using him as your Commander reduces energy costs of your other abilities.

fortnite constructors

You like building? You can build with any class, but only the Constructor will give you buffs for it. Not only will you get reduced material costs for building and upgrading, but many constructors get abilities like BASE that buff the strength of their builds.

Best Constructor Heroes:

  • Heavy BASE Kyle  &#; His special perk, Feel the BASE, was OP before the rework, and ti continues to be desirable. Kill enemies near his BASE and it pulses a powerful energy wave. Effect is upgraded when using him as your Commander.
  • Krampus &#; If you like ROSIE, kills with that turret increase its damage, so lock and load.
  • Kyle the 13th &#; DECOY causes damage to those that hit it. This is something you kind of want, and using him as a Commander increases the damage that happens.
  • Conqueror Magnus &#; Similar to Kyle the 13th, Magnus&#;s DECOY does damage to enemies, but does so in its attraction radius. This means all those stupid mist monsters that won&#;t attack your DECOY get hit too and husks get damaged before they even walk to the DECOY.

fortnite outlanders

Playing an outlander is tricky business. They may not get specific perks towards weapons, but they do get many perks towards using their techy tools and increasing their mobility.

Best Outlander Heroes:

  • Trailblazer Quinn &#; Her perk is to increase the damage and fire rate of TEDDY. You want this as TEDDY is a powerful tool and her perk only increases it further when using her.
  • Fragment Flurry Jess &#; Charge fragments give buffs to your various outlander abilites. Since FF Jess has a chance to generate this once-rare fragments after a kill, it is a boon.
  • Field Agent Rio &#; If you like to Phase Shift, that&#;s great! However, as Rio&#;s ability is to fire a projectile after using this ability, you are both phase shifting and causing damage as well.
  • Fireflower Eagle Eye &#; In a similar vein as Rio, Fireflower drops fireworks when Phase Shifting that do AOE damage.

Save the World is the paid co-op PvE expansion for Fortnite. Save the World (STW) was technically the original version of Fortnite before Epic Games added the battle royale mode that exploded the game’s popularity.

Although STW is less popular than the Fortnite: Battle Royale, there are still many dedicated players and tons of fun to be had fighting zombies, buildings fortresses, and crafting traps.

Throughout your time playing STW, you&#;ll acquire various characters you can play. Different characters have different rarity levels and classes. You&#;ll be able to upgrade your characters using experience points, which will level up your characters. Selecting the characters you&#;ll upgrade will have a big impact on your gameplay experience, so it’s important to upgrade the right ones.

Here are the best classes to play in Fortnite: Save the World.

1) The Outlander

Outlander is the most versatile class if you&#;re planning on playing STW solo or with a team. Although it won’t deal as much damage as some of the other classes, the Outlander’s abilities have low cooldowns and are highly useful for controlling crowds of zombies.

Outlander class perks

Anti-material charge allows Outlanders to punch forward, dealing significant damage to enemies and structures. This movement ability is also incredibly helpful when you get surrounded by zombies, which is likely to happen somewhat frequently if you&#;re playing solo.

In the Zone makes it so that after a certain number of hits with a pickaxe, your pickaxe damage goes up by 25 percent and your movement speed increases by percent. This buff is a nice bonus if you&#;re collecting materials, but this perk isn&#;t essential to enjoying the game.

Loot Llama allows players to collect purple fragments around the various maps that will create a loot llama for players and their teammates to wack. The llama will drop resources and ingredients.

Outlanders abilities

Various Outlander heroes can feature different abilities. The Outlander abilities offer some of the most utility of any other class in the game, which is what makes them the perfect lone wolf class. Each hero will have three of the following abilities.

T.E.D.D.Y &#; Deploys a robot that fires on enemies for 15 seconds.

Seismic Smash &#; Smash the ground in front of you, dealing 6,+ damage to enemies.

Phase shift &#; Teleport 10 to 15 feet in any direction.

Shock Tower &#; Deploy a device dealing shock damage to nearby enemies for 20 seconds.

2) The Ninja

The Ninja class is a high damage and high mobility class. It&#;s the best class in the game for playing with friends since it deals a lot of damage but needs support to succeed.

Ninja class perks

Mantis leap allows the Ninja to do a double jump and never take fall damage. This is a great mobility ability that makes the Ninja incredibly fun to play.

Shadow stance allows Ninjas to increase their armor by 60 and movement speed by 15 percent after killing an enemy with a melee weapon. This encourages players to get up close and personal with their kills, using swords, clubs, rakes, and the other available melee weapons in the game.

Ninja abilities

Like the other classes in the game, different Ninja heroes might come with different available abilities. Choose your preferred abilities carefully.

Kunai Storm &#; Jump into the air and multiple kunai toward the ground in front of you, dealing 8,+ damage with each kunai.

Throwing stars &#; Throw several throwing stars that deal 3,+ damage each.

Dragon slash &#; Dash threw enemies using your sword to deal 5,+ damage.

Smoke Bomb &#; Throw a smoke bomb that slows enemies and deals 2,+ DPS.

Crescent Kick &#; Strike enemies with a spin kick that stuns them and deals 5,+ damage.

The Ninja is definitely the highest damage dealer in the game if you can master the mobile and aggressive style required to pull off the high damage abilities.

3) The Soldier

The Soldier is the most reliable hero. Soldiers put out consistent damage and are able to suppress enemies using their standard weapons. But the Soldier will struggle to carry enough damage to get the job done without help.

Soldier class perks

Suppressive fire makes it so that with every consecutive shot a player lands on an enemy, the damage of their weapon goes up by three percent. This can stack up to five times, offering players as much as 15 percent extra damage if they have good aim.

Stay frosty increases weapon damage by 10 percent and weapon stability by 35 percent following three zombie eliminations.

These perks are helpful whether you&#;re playing solo or with friends. The Soldier makes a great support class, holding down the frontline while the Ninjas and Outlanders zip around and push enemies aggressively.

Soldier abilities

The Soldier abilities deal the most crowd damage of any class other than maybe the Outlander.

Lefty Righty &#; Pull out two pistols that deal 2,+ damage per shot for 10 seconds. It&#;s possible to fire this weapon as many as 60 times in that 10 seconds, making this one of the highest damage potential abilities in the game.

Frag grenade &#; This standard ability throws a grenade on a second cooldown. The grenade deals 4,+ crowd control damage, so it can damage multiple targets.

Shockwave &#; Drop a grenade on the ground that throws enemies back and deals 4,+ damage to enemies.

Warcry &#; Activate this ability to buff your teammates for 12 seconds with an increase of 45 percent damage, 30 percent fire rate, and 20 percent melee attack speed.

Goin’ Commando!!! &#; Pull out a minigun for 10 seconds that deals 1,+ damage per shot with the ability to fire 18 shots per second.

4) Constructor

As their name implies, Constructors are focused on building. Constructors are only useful if you&#;re either planning on focusing almost entirely on traps or if you&#;re running with a full team.

Constructor class perks

Kinetic Overload is automatically triggered when a player takes damage. It will deal damage to nearby enemies and increase the Constructor&#;s melee impact damage by 10 percent for five seconds after critical hits.

B.A.S.E. can be placed to reinforce a structure with 60 armor. The perk covers as many as four segments.

Constructor abilities

Constructor abilities are the least useful in the game, but they aren&#;t totally useless.

R.O.S.I.E &#; Deploy a mounted turret that deals 3,+ damage per shot and first ammo in total.

DECOY &#; Deploy a decoy that distracts enemies for six seconds. This ability doesn’t work on bosses or mist monsters, however.

Plasma Pulse &#; Drop a device that fires plasma mines for six seconds that deal 2,+ damage each.

Bull rush &#; Pull out a riot shield and charge forward, dealing 4,+ damage to enemies.

Although there are definitely some uses for the Constructor&#;s abilities, they&#;re far less flexible and impactful than the other classes.

Ultimately, the usefulness of any of these classes is situational. Each class has its own place in the STW meta, so don’t be afraid to upgrade the heroes you like. Just remember to try out all of the different classes and abilities before sinking all of your XP into a single hero.

  1. Lt wright knives
  2. R6 for sale
  3. Tmobile 3g bands
  4. Demon following me

Choosing a hero, like choosing weapons, is ultimately up to what you enjoy most. But, like weapons, there are some that are considered to be better. Here is a list of the heroes considered to be best by the community, along with their abbreviation (if they have one) and a brief description of their best qualities.

UAH - Urban Assault Headhunter - Maximizes Assault Weapon damage, and is generally considered to be the best hero in the game.

MGR - Master Grenadier - Powerful grenades.

SF - Special Forces - Powerful Warcry with focus on maximizing the number of rounds that can be shot in a short period of time.

HBK - Heavy BASE - A powerful BASE focused on doing maximum damage only rivaled in size by Power BASE and MEGABASE

PBK - Power BASE - A huge base with great utility and self-repairing walls

MBK - MEGABASE - A huge base equal in size to Power BASE, but with better damage and less utility/defense

Dragon - Great for dealing with large crowds due to having powerful dragon strike perks

SMS - Shuriken Master - Amazing single target damage. Great against smashers.

Dim Mak - Great AoE and DoT

Pathfinder - Amazing for farming, but can also hold their own in combat

Striker A.C. - Uses anti-material charge to do well in farming and assist in combat

Enforcer Grizzly - Focused heavily on the TEDDY trait for clearing waves of husks with ease

What is the Best Hero Class in Fortnite STW?

There are currently four main classes of Heroes in Fortnite STW. This guide will introduce you to each hero class in Fortnite to help you choose the best option.

They're primarily based around ranged combat and are the best class to use if you want to use mainly guns. Being the easiest and first class that players are introduced to, soldiers are a stable class to use in the end game portion of the game.

Pros: They boast arguably the strongest DPS in the game, staying well out of danger to do so.

Cons: They don’t have the melee capabilities or survivability of a ninja, mobility of an outlander, or the controlling style of a constructor.

Assault weapons

The stereotypical main weapon of any soldier. Arguably the best versatile weapon in the game, soldiers use assault weapons the best. Fast DPS is good for killing hordes of husks and is decent in taking bosses due to their potential in single target damage. They generally have good aim, with minimal recoil so they are compulsory for any good soldier, especially since they benefit the soldier class perks. The downside of most assault weapons are their ammo consumption, so be mindful of your supplies in missions.

Grave Digger

The Siegebreaker (one of the most versatile and balanced weapons in the game)

The Grave Digger (one of the highest damage assault rifles with decent accuracy)

The Nocturno (similar to the Siegebreaker, however you need to buy the founder's edition).

Shotguns are the best clearing guns in the game outside of explosives. Their damage is one of the highest in terms of burst, and a good shotgun can oneshot any average husk. They generally want to be up close to about medium range to utilise its damage to the fullest potential. They also have decent impact damage most of the time, so you can stagger or stun some enemies depending on your shotgun.

Their fire rate can be tedious at times, but if you can hit your shots (which isn’t difficult) shotguns are one of the best types of guns in the game. Remember that not every soldier can use shotguns, so be sure to pick heroes that have the perks that benefit shotguns.

Helium Shotgun

The Helium Shotgun (arguably the best shotgun in the game for damage and spread)

The Bear (a versatile and balanced shotgun).

Pistols are one of the weakest guns in the game due to the fact that they are generally outclassed by every single other weapon. The only good thing about them is the fact that they are so fun to use (and are my favorite weapons). Some mythic heroes can use pistols effectively, so keep an eye out for heroes in the store that have pistol perks. I personally use Calamity, she's a lot of fun but isn't really the best soldier, so ultimately it's up to your preferences.

Bald Eagle
Last Word
Tiny Instrument of Death

The Bald Eagle (one of the hardest hitting weapons in the game period, but fire rate and reload is terrible)

The Last Word (fast fire rate and great for clearing large amounts of husks)

The Tiny Instrument of Death (a meme and arguably one of the best weapons in the game).

Sniper rifles

Sniper's are the most straight forward weapons in the game. You want a long range, hard hitting gun, that can pretty much oneshot. Most snipers do this, but there are a few that have high fire rates. Do not invest in these snipers, because despite this, there are no benefits in using them. If you want a rapid-fire weapon, use an assault rifle, they are much better. Same advice as before: look at the perks of your particular soldier, take a look especially at Raiders as they have been recently reworked into being a sniper soldier subclass.

Ol' Betsy
Super Shredder
Neon Sniper Rifle

The Ol' Betsy (one of the hardest hitting weapons in the game)

The Super Shredder (a shotgun spread sniper, which is extremely versatile)

The Neon Sniper Rifle (a gimmicky weak sniper, however, it has an interesting infrared scope that can also shoot through walls).

Explosive weapons

Explosive weapons are quite balanced and are very convenient in taking down massive hordes of enemies and taking down smashers. Be wary that instead of ammo they instead use durability and thus have very limited shots despite having a smaller crafting cost. But they are essential for late game missions due to their capabilities. It's a bit difficult to suggest good explosive weapons due to the fact that they are all pretty unique and balanced.

Vacuum Tube Launcher
Noble Launcher

The Vacuum Tube Launcher (extremely good impact, can stun pretty much any mod except bosses)

The Noble Launcher (arguably the best clearing launcher in the game).

Debilitating Shots – Hitting a target temporarily increases the amount of damage he or she takes. Can stack up to three times.

Make It Rain – Landing a headshot increases the commando’s rate of fire for a short time.

Grenades – Allows the player to craft and use grenades.

Proximity Mines – Allows the player to craft and deploy proximity mines.

Final Basic Tips, Strategies, and Things To Look Out For

Always craft weapons and ammo in missions so you can increase your score during the mission.

When levelling schematics, especially with soldiers due to their versatility with their weapons, try and find one or two weapons you love to use and primarily focus on keeping them maxed out (make sure you do not evolve the weapon too soon or you won't be able to craft it). I personally recommend an assault weapon and a sniper, but it's ultimately up to you.

Make a trap tunnel or a shooting point in your base or builds. This will help keep you safe, and provide good positions to shoot from. Experiment with your builds to ensure where you like to shoot from.

If you really want to use melee weapons, try and focus more on crowd control weapons like hammers as this provides survivability.

Once you're in the middle to the later stages of the game (about 50 onwards), try and have elemental weapons for each type of enemy (i.e fire against nature, nature against water, and water against fire), while also having your main weapon as energy type damage.

This class is the strongest but it is also one of the more complicated. Everything you do revolves around traps and enemy manipulation. It'll take some time to learn the different terrain, where to build your tunnels, and how to manage them if enemies break through.

Pros: They have a higher health pool, alongside the soldier class, making them hard to kill as you fix and place traps.

Cons: A constructor's weakness is its combat capabilities. They are slow and most of their weapon perks aren't as good as the other classes. In a mission that doesn't require defense building, an example being exterminations, you won't be as effective.

Rocket Launchers

Constructors benefit most from explosive weapons. They use durability instead of ammo so making them sunbeam is a complete waste in the long run. Their damage radius and clear speed compliment the playstyle that is necessary for the constructor. You can build them easily but make sure you always farm for the materials in every mission as they break easily.

Quad launcher
Noble launcher
Vacuum tube launcher

The Quad launcher boasts a hard hit and good fire rate

The Noble launcher can be charged up to do high damage.

A Vacuum tube launcher provides decent crowd control with its high impact damage, which can hold a Smasher in place.

Hardware melee weapons

Hardware weapons are the slowest melee weapons in Save the World. They do have high impact damage which is necessary is stunning, knocking down, or interrupting husks in missions. This does not affect mini-bosses or bosses. They’re very good for large hordes as they usually have high radius damage and crowd control is very beneficial in defense missions.

Lead Sled
Mr. Red
Vindertech Slammer

The Lead Sled, a fast hammer with heavy attacks

Mr. Red has high DPS and is brutal with a full critical rating.

The Vindertech Slammer is another fast hammer and its heavy attack has an amazing clear rate.

Club melee weapons

I don't recommend Club weapons until Save the World expands its roster more.

These are your tools of the trade. Every trap has used and you need to focus a lot on leveling them if you want to main a constructor. They’re versatile and if you place them well, you won’t have to do anything for the whole mission.

Since they are all useful, I will only ask that you consider launcher traps. Knocking back husks means you have more control over their movement. An example is a trick called a stall room, you create a single room full of traps in every direction. Wall launchers throw enemies in, making them spend more time walking out again. Little uses like these make the constructor a powerful class.

B.A.S.E – Deploys a large holographic cube in the environment; anything built inside it costs fewer resources for the constructor.

Pre-Planning – Makes structures built by the constructor stronger.

Containment Unit – Deals persistent damage to enemies within the B.A.S.E. area.

Plasma Pulse – Area-of-effect grenades that deal damage for a short period of time.

Basic Tips and Strategies

Make sure you have resources for your explosive weapons, they clear faster than most ranged weapons and can turn a mission around.

I recommend leveling one rocket launcher at a time. Even if they're different, their damage remains high as a collective, and you want to focus more on your schematic experience on traps.

Watch David Dean's or Aidan Harris' trap tunnel videos. They'll help get you started on the art of trap tunneling. They teach basics, their thoughts on trap placements, and they are constantly updating their strategies when it comes to clearing hordes.

Learning what each enemy does and what can stop them comes in handy. An explosive husk will throw their gasoline at a wall or player so having a vast layer of floor or ceiling traps can kill them early. A smasher mows down walls but cannot charge down a slope. So building a slope directs them away from the battle. Simple strategies like these make a big difference.

MEGA Base Kyle is arguably one of the strongest constructors out there. He gives an extra range in B.A.S.E which is good for any mission.

Other classes perform perfectly fine in gathering. This job is best served for solo players who don’t want to rely on others to farm.

The Ninja is capable of dealing a lot of damage in neat ways but is less efficient than the Commando.
