Yoders country market

Yoders country market DEFAULT

Welcome to our online store!

We do things a little differently from your standard grocery store. Here is a guide for shopping with us:

• Some of our products are sold by the pound, which means each bag can vary in weight.
• For each variable weight item, you must select the size you would like to order – this is the minimum weight of the bag you will receive. The actual weight may vary by up to 5%, but will never be less than the weight you select.
• The listed price is the price that you will pay – regardless of whether the weight varies or not

Each transaction will show you the price for the products, the price for shipping & handling and the total. We do not build the cost for shipping into our products prices then claim to offer “free shipping”. We want you to see exactly what you’re paying for.

If anything is confusing or needs improving, feel free to give us a call at (330) 359-5615 or send us a message. Happy shopping!

  • Q:

Some one told me that they had their porch swings made at Yoders in Bulls Gap, are you affiliated with them?

Your trust is our top concern, so businesses can't pay to alter or remove their reviews. Learn more.

  • We have been going there for over 10 years.  Outstanding.  Never ever a problem.  The sandwiches are incredible.  The bakery is incredible.  Try the jalapeno cheese bread oh yummy!!!  Try the hand pies, the Bavarian cream is out of this world.  We drive a couple of hours to go there from Maggie Valley and it is well worth it.  A must for all

  • This was totally not planned. We were just looking for a restroom on our road trip. We love all things Amish and Pennsylvania Dutch. We knew stopping here would have somethings we would love. Well turns out that had ALOT of things we loved. Bulk food, deli, bakery, home goods, dairy, sweets, candies and so much more. The staff was very friendly, especially since we showed up about 10 minutes before close. It was very clean and the parking lot was clean. I highly recommend stopping here and checking out all they have.

  • Really good sandwiches!! I wasn't super hungry when we got there, so I ordered a simple grilled cheese. The fresh sourdough bread was so delicious, and the fresh sliced cheddar and provolone melted together perfectly. The outside of the sandwich was well buttered and it was still warm off the grill when they handed it to me. It was a delicious comfort meal. I grabbed some spicy snack mix and homemade jam to bring home, and both were really good. Don't skip the hot, fresh doughnuts and pretzels out in parking lot!! This place is fantastic.

  • I've been a patron of Yoders for several years and recently went there for the first time on 9/5/2020, since the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course masks and distancing are not mandated but I was shocked to see such a blatant disrespect for humanity by not only the patrons but also the staff. The cashiers and other staff were not social distancing or wearing masks.  I quickly left. It is one thing that the patrons are stupid enough not to care but the staff has no right to endanger the rest of us. Goodbye forever.

  • Yoders is a family-owned and operated speciality grocery store in Bulls Gap. If you're ever within reasonable driving distance from this gem in East Tn - it's definitely worth checking out. Most of the goods sold at the store are made in-house. Breads, jams and spreads, all kinds of grains (rice, quinoa, grits, barley, wheat), an entire aisle of candies, and my favorite - an entire aisle of spices. The in-house made goods are in plastic tubs and labeled.

They also have a restaurant that makes amazing sandwiches. There's a prepared foods section with all kinds of desserts, salads, and sandwich spreads. The pimento cheese with homemade crackers was awesome! I can't believe it took me this long to check this place out but it definitely won't be my last time.

  • I absolutely love our Mennonite bulk store. So thankful they are in our community. I will always give them a 5 star rating but today I was disappointed to see none of the workers wore a mask. None of the staff that prepared the food wore a mask. No one was wiping off the food carts. Not sure if the workers had a choice but I pray God will watch over them. This pandemic is serious. I feel a business should protect their staff. I did see a big bottle of hand sanitizer near the door. I would still recommend them but would caution customers to wear a mask if anything to protect these precious workers. We need to protect and care for each other.

  • Fairly large for a "dry goods" type store. Good parking, but angle of lot makes it tough if you have heavy doors, etc. Outdoor doughnut vending during good weather is nice, but they tend to be sold out when I pass by. Excellent made to order sandwiches and decent in-house deserts. Pricing is hit and miss, but you can find relative bargains if you look around a bit. Seems a bit more commercial than say, the Mennonite store next to the Farmer's Daughter. You will see a lot more items with name brands for example. However, since most of them seem to originate from PA, I guess it's on brand (no pun intended).

Gripes? The cash register can really "bottleneck" at times. Even when this happens and they open up both sides, I usually still experience a five minute + wait. Finally, it's simply too dark inside. I am not sure what that's about, but every person I've spoken to about this place says the same thing. This makes it a tricky to locate the items you are looking for quickly.

  • Ya'll if you go you have to try their potato salad. It reminded me of my Moms. Their deli sandwiches are spot on and well priced. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses. They are always running specials. They have outdoor covered seating if you choose to eat your sandwich there. The grocery section is clean and has a wide variety of Amish foods at great prices. The staff are extremely friendly and very quick with service.

  • We took a drive to yoders market Saturday morning to try out there sandwiches. They were awesome. This market is awesome. They have a great deli with all kinds of meat. We will differently be going back there. Also sweet smucker doughnut trailer was there. Best homemade doughnuts around. Everybody needs to try this place.

  • Awesome Amish market with a great deli. There is plenty of selection for baking, canning, cooking, or even health food supplies. The prices are reasonable and the quality is great. The deli is fabulous whether you order a sandwich to eat there or you order by the pound to take home. Take some time to browse around. You will find something you "need".
